At the 28TH ANNUAL NATIONAL CITY AND REGIONAL MAGAZINE AWARDS, Washingtonian wins the coveted general excellence award in its circulation category, beating outAtlanta Magazine, Texas Monthly, LA Magazine and Philadelphia Magazine.

“Winning the General Excellence award from the City and Regional Magazine Association is the latest recognition of the improvementsWashingtonian has made in recent years. Much of the credit for that transformation goes to Metaleap, who helped modernize the look and feel of the magazine, raising the level of our design and redefining the structure of the magazine. As the CRMA judges said in naming Washingtonian a finalist for its redesign, ‘Washingtonian subtly freshened its logo, but the real transformation occurs inside, with more crisply classic typography and a significant reorganization and restructuring of sections.’ They were a critical partner in making Washingtonian what it is today.”—Garrett Graff, Editor
