After several years of producing an online-only magazine, our friends at Paste asked us to help them execute a vision for a large-format, highly visual publication accompanied by a vinyl sampler (as a nod to Paste’s early print years, when they included a CD sampler in each issue). Although Metaleap had also designed all of their previous print issues, it was back to the drawing board for Paste Quarterly, as we wanted to create something truly unique for the loyal Paste readership. Long-form stories, comics, infographics, and photography and illustration of many different styles came together to form a keepsake magazine that beckons you back to it again and again. Paste Quarterly was a 2017 Society of Publication Designers merit winner and a multiple ASME nominated music, film and culture title.
